Job Overview:

Upsense is seeking a skilled and motivated Web Developer (WordPress) to join our dynamic team. This remote role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a talented group of designers, strategists, and content creators to build exceptional websites for clients. Key Responsibilities:

Website Development:

  • Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites using Elementor and other page builders.
  • Implement advanced functionality through custom coding in PHP, JavaScript, and CSS.

Optimization and Maintenance:

  • Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO.
  • Regularly update plugins, themes, and WordPress core while ensuring compatibility and security.

Problem Solving and Collaboration:

  • Troubleshoot website issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the design team to translate UI/UX wireframes into responsive web pages.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and plugins as needed for extended functionality.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough testing to ensure websites are bug-free, responsive, and user-friendly across all devices.
  • Ensure adherence to web standards and accessibility guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year in WordPress development, with a strong portfolio showcasing past projects.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in WordPress, Elementor, and other popular page builders.
  • Strong coding skills in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with WooCommerce.
  • Knowledge of MySQL databases and website hosting environments.
  • Experience with debugging tools like Chrome DevTools.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup while adhering to deadlines.
